Breaking News. Three Romanians arrested after reports of white van men stealing from gardens around Wiltshire

Three Romanians have been arrested after allegedly driving around Wiltshire in a white van and stealing items from gardens – and now police are appealing for any other victims to come forward.

Officers from Calne and Devizes managed to stop the van after reports of the thefts in Chippenham and Bromham at lunchtime on Saturday. The van was spotted driving through Devizes towards Avebury, and it was eventually pulled over by police in Winterbourne Bassett.

„Officers then discovered an assortment of metal and copper items in the rear of the vehicle,” said a spokesman for Wiltshire police.

„Three Romanian males where then arrested on suspicion of theft and taken to Swindon Custody at Gablecross Police station. Enquires are currently on going.
