Amazing footage of an articulated lorry being driven the wrong way along the carriageway of a Midlands Motorway has been released.
Staffordshire Police has revealed the shocking images of the HGV hurtling towards oncoming traffic as the drivers tried to find an exit from the carriageway.
Two men from Romania were given suspended jail sentences after they were spotted by cops driving the HGV in the opposite direction along the northbound carriageway of the M6 Toll in Staffordshire.
Romanians Nicusor Paun and Vasile Radoescu were also seen swapping seats in the cab of the lorry as it travelled the wrong way along the northbound carriageway of the pay-to-use relief road, near Shenstone.
Both men were convicted of dangerous driving and will have to take an advanced test before being allowed back on the roads.
Paun, 34, was sentenced to eight months in prison suspended for 18 months and handed a two-year road ban. He was also ordered to pay £180 in costs.
Radoescue, 39, was given a four-month jail term suspended for 18 months and a was disqualified from driving for 12 months. He was told to pay £900 in costs.
