A WOMAN is fighting for her life after being thrown from a minibus that had careered across three lanes of the busy M3.
A 63-year-old woman suffered life-threatening injuries when the driver of the minibus was unable to maintain control following a suspected blown tyre.
A group of 10 Romanian nationals were on board the minibus, which had been in the outside lane but crossed the carriageway and left the road where it overturned, throwing two passengers from the vehicle in the process.
The silver Ford minibus crashed at 9.48am on last July 24 junctions 5 at Hook and 6 at Basingstoke as the minibus travelled southbound.
A group of 10 Romanian nationals were on board the minibus, which had been in the outside lane but crossed the carriageway and left the road where it overturned, throwing two passengers from the vehicle in the process.
The northbound carriageway was closed briefly to allow for two air ambulances to land, before they were redirected to a nearby field where the seriously injured people were collected and flown to Southampton General Hospital.
Police said this week the critically ill woman was in an induced coma in Southampton’s intensive care unit.
